Thips page gives an overall summary of the main ThingScale components th= at you need to configure in order to set up ThingScale to process device st= reams, and how to configure them through the ThingScale Management Console = UI.Given below the main components in ThingScale:
Device Connector : Providing device connectivity and Se= cure transport mechanism.
Device Manager : Manage Device ID, Token Authentication= and device status.
Channel Manager : Manage stream related to the device.&= nbsp;
Event Manager : Near-realtime stream processing happens= based on streams.
You can create device,channel and event using the ThingScale Management = Console,which is available at https://m.thingscale.io/console/= a>
Optionally, you can directly create,modify,delete the object from REST A= PIs.
In ThingScale there are two ways of device create method,
Manual Provision : To create device from Management Console or REST API<= /p>
Auto Provision: To create device when the configured device is first con= nected.
ThingScale support Auto Provision to reduce the workload on the device r= egistration tasks.
To configure a device, you log in to the Management Console and select <= strong>Device menu from left pane.
The UI looks as follows:
The device details that open for you to fill depend on the device you ch= oose.For detail on how to create a device from REST API,see /wiki/spaces/= TD/pages/491587.
A channel is a time-series database which stores device's data streams.&= nbsp;For a single channel, a single literal (eg temperature) or JSON object= is stored.
To configure a channel, you log in to the Management Console and select = Channel menu from left pane.
The UI looks as follows:
The channel details that open for you to fill depend on the channel you = choose.For detail on how to create a channel from REST API,see /wiki/spac= es/TD/pages/491585.
To show a device stream, you log in to the Management Console and s= elect Stream menu from left pane.
The UI looks as follows:
In the Stream section, there are three types of options:
Source : Channel ID and name related to the device
<= /li>Range : time range of datapoint
Reset : Reset to default time range(1 hour)
Event are another main part in ThingScale. All the processing(notificati= on or HTTP_POST) happens based on streams.
For detail on how to working with a event,see Worki= ng with Event.
